This is a Mezcal Offering from Macra Negra, made from Dobadan in Santa Maria La Pila by Alberto-Ortiz. Let’s see how it holds up. Batch XA014-17

ABV: 47.9%

Nose: Roasted Red Bell Pepper, Grilled Pineapple, Toasted Brown Sugar, vanilla bean, floral

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Roasted Pepper, Grilled Pineapple, light banana, all spice, slight mineral, floral.

Finish: Medium length finish, warm, allspice, black pepper, minerality, roasted peppers.

Rating: 6/10

This is pretty bright and on the sweeter side. Lots of fruit and spices that a pretty strong.

1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out.

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.

7 | Great | Well above average

8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.
