Background: This is a single barrel of Elijah Craig that was picked by ABC Fine Wine and Spirits. Aged for 9 years then bottled for this store. I had this blind so keep that in mind while reading my review.
ABV: 47%
Nose: Heavy Vanilla and oak, honey, corn forward and light citrus.
Palate: Medium and oily. Vanilla honey oak and black pepper with some black pepper on the end
Finish: Long sweet honey, vanilla and citrus. This lingers for a little while.
Conclusion: Good, sweet, and delicious. I have had ECBP but never had their standard offering. This is delicious and I would not mind having a bottle to sip on. Much sweeter than what I normally associate with a bourbon.
