Review #308; Gin #3: 100 Mill Street

Disclaimer: This is a bottle that was sent to me by the distillery. Being that it is not available in my market and a limited release, I accepted it to review. The sender requested an honest review, and that is what they shall receive.

This is a gin from 100 Mill street. It is allocated and limited, with only 3,000 bottles produced every year, and distributed in the Minnesota/Wisconsin states. It is made from maple sap, with 0 grains used during production. This is certainly unique and I look forward to diving in.

ABV: 42%

Nose: Juniper, Lemon zest, Strong berries, tart blueberries, touch of sweet strawberry. Black Pepper, spicy.

Palate: Medium, oily mouthfeel. Lemon Zest, Black Pepper. Tart blueberries, black pepper, slight allspice, creamy vanilla.

Finish: Medium length. Dry and warm. Spicy, tingly, peppery. Juniper and lemon.

Rating: 8/10

This stuff is awesome and unique. It bursts with flavor, it balances between juniper and savory with slight fruity sweetness in it. It’s great in the cocktails I made that the creator recommend, I’m not much of hand at making cocktails so I probably didn’t do it justice. This would go up in my assortment of Gins to always have on hand if I could keep it stocked, as a nice change of pace.
