Review #292; Scotch #103: Tobermorey 8yr 2008 John Milroy K&L Select

This is an offering from the John Milroy IB, it was Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2017. It was aged in a Refill Butt, presumably Sherry. Let’s see how it holds up.

ABV: 57.2%

Nose: Plums, Grape Jam, nuts, black tea, hay.

Palate: Medium Oily mouthfeel, strong plums, jam, citrus, Hay, slight cereals.

Finish: Medium length, dry strong plums, chalky, jam, black tea.

Rating: 6/10

A nice cask strength offering from Toberymorey and Milroy. The flavors are strong and punchy and it lacks the strong Sulphur notes some refill casks seem to have. It’s very good and price dependent I wouldn’t mind a bottle.
