Whistlepig 10 Year Bourbon Street Wine and Spirits Pick
Whistlepig is a NDP who sources their whiskey from either MGP or Alberta distillers. This is one of their Single Barrel, cask strength releases. Full Disclosure, I am a fan of these of the ones I’ve tried and will be reviewing a smattering of these.
On to the 2nd one of these, which was chosen in my quick research by a store in New Jersey.
ABV: 57.45%
Nose: Strong Rye Spice, Green Apple, Vanilla Cream, Toffee, Black Pepper, Allspice.
Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Rye Spice, Green Apple, Toffee, Oak, Black Pepper, Allspice,
Finish: Medium length, warm, dry. Green Apple, Toffee, Rye Spice.
Rating: 7/10
A good showing from Whistlepig, well balanced and hits the note that I want in one of their offerings. WP is usually consistently good for me like this one so we will see if the rest of these in my lineup hold up to this standard.
