Review #245; Scotch #81: Glen Grant – Glenlivet 24yr 1992 Cadenhead

This was a dram I had completely blind and was revealed after sending my notes to the holder of the reveal, keep that in mind while reading this. This is a blend of 2 barrels of Glenlivet / Glen Grant

ABV: 45.9%

Nose: Very sweet, Green Apple, Wood, Sawdust

Palate: Honey, Cereals, Malts, Hay, Grassy, Earthy

Finish: Medium Length, Malts, Cereals, Hay, Grass, Greenwood, Tannins Acetone

Rating: 3/10

This one is an offputting hot mess, a mix of young flavors with some sweetness mixed in. It has a chance but needs more time in the barrel.

Guess: Very Young Single Malt, Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 43-46%. Some kind of American Single Malt

Reveal: Glen Grant – Glenlivet – 1992 24 Year Old Cadenhead

Boy oh boy was I way off on this one. This was fun to try but its flavor profile just did not do much for me. I tried this again after the reveal and still felt the same about it. Thanks for Reading!
