Review #241; Scotch #80: Compass Box Great King Street Artists Blend Single Marrying Cask Highland Whisky Cask

Compass Box Great King Street Artists Blend; Single Marrying Cask; Highland Cask

This is a single Marry Cask of Compass Box’s Great King Street Offering, picked by Norfolk wine and Spirits. This was married for an uknown amount of time, I would guess a year, in an undisclosed Highland Cask. Let’s see how it tastes!

ABV: 49%

Nose: Savory Peaches, Vanilla, Light Honey, Cereals, Raisins.

Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, Light Cereals, Hay, Raisins.

Finish: Medium length, warm, Raisins, vanilla, honey.

Rating: 5/10

A little basic in flavor profile, this is still a pretty solid offering for a blend in my opinion. Not sure the marrying cask conveyed much of the flavors it had, or it was a really used one. Would still grab a bottle at the right price.
