Review #24; Rye #5: Michter’s Rye

Background: This is a rye from Michters a non-distilling producer. This sourced rye has no age statement and no source revealed (thought to be Brown Forman). Let’s see how it is.

ABV: 42.4%

Nose: Citrus, oak, melon, honey, musty.

Palate: Rye spice, vanilla, citrus, oak.

Finish: Oak, citrus, rye, and an off-putting acetone finish.

A single Barrel product so YMMV, but a typical rye that I assume is similar to the Woodford Reserve rye. Your typical rye.
