Copper and Kings: Blue Sky Mining

A limited release form Copper and Kings, this is an Artisanal 7 year old pure Muscat Brandy. This was Matrued for 30 months in a single Kentucky Hogshead Barrel. The first 4.5 years were spent in American Oak Wine Barrels before being moved to the Hogs Head.

ABV: 50%

Nose: Strong Tart Raisins, Citrus/Orange Zest, Vanilla, Oak, Floral.

Palate: Medium Oily Mouthfeel, Tart Raisins, Strong Citrus Zest, Herbalness, lemonesque spice, floralness.

Finish: Medium Length, Tartness, Herbalness, Lemon and Citrus Zest. Fades into a warm tingling herbal floralness.

Rating: 6/10

This is really unique. I’m getting a bunch of flavors I’ve never gotten in some drinks that I have tried up to this point (thought I admit my brandy experience being limited). I wouldn’t call this everyday, but it continues the trend of me loving everything that I have tried from Copper and Kings.
