Review #231; Scotch #75: Port Charlotte The Peat Project

Port Charlotte The Peat Project

This is another peated offering from Bruichladdich, this is a blend of several vintages to produce a NAS whisky pulled from American Oak casks. Let’s see how this stands

ABV: 46%

Nose: Warm, meaty peat. Vanilla frosting, slight honey, malty,

Palate: Medium, oily mouthfeel. Warm Meaty peat. Malty, peppery, more balanced vanilla. Honey. hint.

Finish: Medium Length, Peat, vanilla frosting, honey, black pepper. Oak.

Rating: 7/10

The flavors here are really well balanced, and quite tasty. The peat is good and the American oak influence shines with the spirit. Overall a pretty tasty release that I wish I Could get a couple full bottles of.
