Review #227; Scotch #71: Ardbeg Uigedail

Ardbeg Uigeadai

This is a No-Age Statement Standard release for Ardbeg. This one spent time in Sherry casks as well as ex-bourbon casks.

ABV: 54.2%

Nose: Smoked bbq peat, rasisins, slight figs, slight pepper.

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, bbq peat, light smoke, raisins, tannins, slight vanilla, malty.

Finish: Short length, soft bbq peat, smoke, vanilla, raisins.

Rating: 6/10

A fine standard shelf offering from Ardbeg. The flavors here play well together. The standard meaty peat is there with a little bit of the edges softened but some of the flavors are very faint.
