Review #217; Bourbon #79: Weller Full Proof Red’s Store Select

Weller Full Proof Red’s Spirit and Wine NCF Store Pick

This is a store pick of the newly released Weller Full Proof from Red’s. NCF and clocking in at 57% with no age statement, this is likely to ( and has) joined the flew of Buffalo Trace allocated products that flies off the shelves and immediately onto the secondary market.

Let’s see how this stacks up!

ABV: 57%

Nose: Cherry, Vanilla, “Wheat Funk”, Cinnamon, Oak

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Cherry, Cinnamon, Wheat Funk, Oak,

Finish: Medium length, Cherry, Wheat Funk, Cinnamon, Oak, Red Berries.

Rating: 6/10

This is pretty good, and far outshines the OWA and WSR I have had. Nice flavors, a touch of sweet and some good flavors to it. However, the absolute insanity over this bottle is not warranted in any way. This release (and pick) are well balanced and I wouldn’t mind a bottle of this at MSRP (cue usual rant of BT tattering)
