This is a 1973 vintage Cognac from Jean-Luc Pasquet. Distilled from grapes in the Petite Champagne region and bottled at cask strength. This was selected via a blind panel from the Aficionados Discord Server. Let’s Dive into it!
ABV: 50.3%
Nose: Tobacco Leaf notes, rich leather, oak, raisins, black peppercorns, earthy, lemon zest, toffee,
Palate: Rich oily mouthfeel, Rich grapes, leather, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, lemon zest, back peppercorn, toffee, creamy vanilla, oak.
Finish: Lingers forever, Oak, savory leather, dark chocolate, slight nuttiness, creamy vanilla and raisins.
Rating: 9/10
This is just simply incredible, the finish lasts forever, the savory and somewhat bitter notes are helped by the spices and fruitiness that balances it out.
