Ending Thoughts:

So we didn’t end up with all 10 recipes or enough of each to make definitive claims on the variability between the recipes.
But the following are recipes I Tried and Score:

OESK: 7,7

OBSV: 6,5

OESQ: 6,6

OESO: 7,5

OESV: 8,5

OBSQ: 5

OBSF: 4

Then the small batch select which I gave a 5.

We had a range of scores from 4 to 8, with the average being a 5.9, rounded up to a 6 on my scale overall.

As far as ages go from the ones I had, the sweet spot seemed to fall between 9.5-11 years however, I didn’t try enough of these products in my opinion to come to any kind of definitive claim on age.

At the end of the day, the chances of picking up a decent Four Roses Private select is fairly good it would seem but from my short foray into them, and with the recent price increase I wouldn’t go around blindly buying bottles. The value just isn’t there for me personally.

When the variation in flavor profile is so minute in one distillery, the desire to own or try all of the 10 recipes just isn’t anything I desire to chase or try.
