Review #151; Scotch #49: Kilchoman 7yr 2008

This is the first release of Kilchomans 7 year old whisky, aged in First Fill Bourbon Barrels, lets dive in and see what it has to offer!

ABV: 46%

Nose: Vanilla, Lemon zest, light peat, Rotting Vegetation, Brine, slight medicinal note to it.

Palate: Lemon zest, hint of medicinal, Brine, Vanilla, light smoke, Vanilla.

Finish: Shortish Medium, Vanilla, peat, smoke, and brine.

Overall, this falls in line as a solid ex-bourbon Islay offering. Nice balanced flavors that interact well with each other.
