Background: This is an aged mezcal, made with 100% agave espadin cooked in a stone oven.
ABV: 43%
Nose: Sulphur, honey, baking spices, cloves,
Palate: Honey, dry, oily mouthfeel, sweet baking spices on the back end, pepper,
Finish: Medium, lingers with the spices and sweetness mixing with a hint of dark chocolate.
Rating: 6/10
Im not sure what this is, but I like the dry, sort of sulphuryness to it. Well balanced, not overly sweet and low proof to me. Easy to drink on a nice hot summer day (like today).
Reveal: Xuré Mezcal Anejo
This is radically different from the unaged Mezcals Ive had, I think I prefer the unaged but this is tasty to me still.
