Review #1018; Rum #348 Raising Glasses Burning Cane Foursquare 15 Year 2007

Raising Glasses Burning Cane Foursquare 15 Year 2007

This is a single cask of Foursquare that was bottled by Raising Glasses, an newish independent bottler on the American Rum Front. They sell these casks in 375ml bottlings at very affordable prices (this one was under $50). This was aged for 15 years, 11 in Barbados, 4 in the UK. It was aged in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength with no additives.

ABV: 62.3%

Nose: Coconut, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Toasted Brown Sugar, guava, dark chocolate

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, coconut, raspberry, toasted brown sugar, guava, dark chocolate

Finish: Medium length finish. Dark chocolate, orange peel, toasted brown sugar, guava, raspberry

Rating: 7/10

Not surprise here really. Foursquare makes high quality easy to drink rum. I always keep exactly one vintage on hand for this reason. This single cask is great. Hits all of those classic Foursquare notes.
