Probitas Green

Review #1497; Rum #796

Probitas Green is a new version of the blend of Hampden and Foursquare rums bottled by Velier. This rum is a blend of rums from Hampden Estate and Foursquare aged entirely in the Caribbean, but this new version has caramel coloring added that was made at Foursquare. The blend of rums is unaged Coffey column still rum and aged pot still rum distilled by Foursquare. There is also unaged pot still rum from Hampden Estate (LROK) marque. It was then bottled at a high proof (some would say Navy and you can too but it’s a term I don’t really are about) and was non-chill filtered.

Much like the OG probitas, this is a very good rum released. It has a bit more spice to it than the OG probitas to me and certainly has that caramel coloring added. It’s a bit different given its intended for different cocktails but neat drinking wise its solid. I foresee this being something that’s always on my shelf for cocktails much like the original Probitas.
