Review #1395; Rum #694
Mainland Rum is an American independent bottler interested in bringing casks of American rum to the market. They focus on smaller craft rum distilleries from the US mainland. Here, we have a cask of Georgia rum from the now closed Ghost Coast distillery. This rum was distilled from molasses in 2017, put into an ex-bourbon cask, and aged for 7 years before being bottled at barrel proof.

This is fine. That honey note leans heavy for me and then on the finish it gets a little too aggressive with the pepper notes. I think that folks who are more into whiskey would be fans of this one, but Im left wanting more overall.
