Review #1295; Rum #600
This rum was bottled by La Maison Du Whisky as part of their flag series line of rums. This rum was distilled from Fresh Pressed sugar cane juice at the Mhoba Estate in South Africa. It aged for 2 years in South African Wine Barrels at origin, then another 2 years in second fill bourbon casks before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.

As a big fan of rums from Mhoba this one knocks it out of the park. Its bold, pungent, fruity, savory, briney, and just has a lot going on. The flavors play well together, which is good as I was concerned about how much the red wine influence was going to be. This is certainly one of the best aged Mhoba I’ve tried.
