Hamilton Beachbum Berry Blend

Here we have a collaboration between Ed Hamilton of Hamilton rums fame and Beachbum Berry of Tiki and Latitude 29 fame. This is rum blend created to make a one bottle blend intended to be used for a number of tiki cocktails classics, but primarily the Zombie. The end result is a blend of rums from Jamaica, Guyana, and the Dominica Republic bottled at a high proof with no additives

Nose: Clove, Banana, Coriander

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Clove, Banana, Coriander, Black Pepper, Vanilla

Finish: Short Finish, Vanilla, Banana, Metallica Tinge


Rating: 5/10

This rum is fine neat. I can see it being good in its intended cocktail purpose but its just a little rough around the edges for neat drinking. However, its good to have these products out there, especially since it’s a cool project between Ed and the Bum.


1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out.

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.

7 | Great | Well above average

8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.

9 | Incredible | An all time favorite

10 | Perfect | Perfect
