I will admit, I came into this with fairly low expectations and came away moderately impressed. This packs more flavor than I expected. The cask influence is fairly strong, not a bad thing in this case, as those notes drive the whole experience. A bit of the rum peeks through with the toasted coconut and lots of spices from the rye cask. For the style, this is overall pretty decent. For a no additives, high column distilled rum, its actually pretty good.
