Here we have one of the last releases of rum from the Exceptional Cask Series from Richard Seale at Foursquare. Now, he has said recently on the Rumcast that a new line of bottlings will replace the ECS. Which makes sense given the number of casks at Foursquare. Soon come, as the saying goes. This release is a 15 year old rum, the blend of pot and column distillate aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon before undergoing a 2^nd maturation in ex-Moscatel cask. It was then bottled at 57% with no additives.

Rating: 8/10

For being one of the last bottles of the Exceptional Cask series, this is quite the excellent one. Rich fruits, dark chocolate, a bit of spice, and a luxurious leather and dark chocolate note. It oozes richness and excellence all around.
