Review #1411 Rum #710

Here we have Foursquare Fidelitas, a collaboration release between Richard Seale of Foursquare and Luca Gargano of Velier. This rum was distilled at the Foursquare distillery from molasses a belnd of pot and column distillate in 2004. This distillate then aged for 19 years in ex-bourbon before ageing for another year in ex-Marsala wine casks, for a total of 20 years, all at origin in St. Phillip Barbados. It was then bottled with no additives at Barrel Proof.

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel, Dark Chocolate, Black Tea, Blackberry, Raspberry, Touch of Fig, Clove

Finish:  Long Finish, Currants, Blackberry, Raspberry, Black Tea, Leather, Dark Chocolate, Fig


Rating: 8/10

An excellent offering from Foursquare and co. The mouthfeel is rich and luscious, dark fruits, leather, a touch of dark chocolate and tea. This is a decadent drinking experience in every meaning of the word.
