Dillon Brut de Colonne

Review #1238; Rum #548

This rum is a brut de colonne release from distillerie Dillon on Martinique. This rhum agricole was distilled from fresh pressed cane juice on a column still and bottled at still strength with no additives. Though I must note that the brand Dillon is distilled on a Creole Column still is located at Depaz and is solely used to make Dillon rum.

This is an excellent rhum agricole. Its packed for a flavor, well balanced, and rises up to some of the other great high proof agricoles that exist. A touch of water really opens it up as well, bringing up more of that cane sweetness and taming the heat. But overall this would be a great addition to your rhum agricole arsenal.
