Chairman’s Reserve 1931

Review #1153; Rum #468

Chairman’s Reserve is a brand of rums that comes from Saint Lucia Distiller’s and is located on the island of Saint Lucia. This rum is a blend of molasses and fresh pressed cane juice rum, with the cane juice component coming from Sugarcane grown at the distillery. The rums themselves are a blend of distillates from the Coffey column still, 3 pot stills, and aged in bourbon casks for 7 to 12 years before being bottled with no additives.

This is a very good rum. I won’t go comparing this rum to other rum releases I’ve had, as they have mainly been single still blends and the like. However, this is a very good blend of rums. The components work well together and the flavors are very nice. Nothing really stands out but you can pick a few things out here and there you could guess came from which still.
