Willet Family Estate 6 Year Rye This is a 6 year age stated rye from Willet, so lets dive in and see what its all about! ABV: 58.6% Nose: Strong Rye Spice, Green Apple, White Peppercorn, Vanilla, Palate: Thick Oily mouthfeel, strong rye spices, green apple, Vanilla, Black Pepper, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, Finish:Medium length, Leather, Rye Spice, Baking

This is a 4 year old rye from Bardstown Distillers, bottled under their Willet line. I had this blind then was revealed the bottle so keep that in mind. ABV: 63% Nose: Strong Herbal Rye, Black Pepper, Green Apple, Orange Citrus, Oak Palate: Medium, oily mouthfeel. Heat, all spice, Herbalness, Black pepper, citrus, slight green apple Finish: Medium Legnth,

This is a sourced rye from Whistlepig, presumably Canada from the back label but I think we all know how well WP labels their bottles. Let us dive in and see how this holds up! ABV: 57.3% Nose: Rye Spice, Herbal, Grass, Slight Green Apple, Vanilla Palate: Medium Mouthfeel, Rye Spice, Green Apple, Vanilla, Light black pepper, Finish: Medium

Background: This is a 6-7 year old rye, finished for up to 18 months in ex-rum casks. I had this blind, so keep that in mind while reading my notes.  ABV: 50% Nose: Spice, bubblegum, slight greenwood, burnt oak, vanilla, cinnamon Palate: Medium/thin mouthfeel, Spice, greenwood, slight vanilla hint, oak,hot Finish: Shortish finish. Heat, spice, oak, leather hint.

Background: This is a rye distilled on a pot still and aged for less than 4 years in New York by craft distillers Tuthilltown Spirits. I had this blind then was revealed the bottle. ABV: 46% Nose: Ethanol, Corn, Grains, Matly, Grassy, Dirty, Spicey. Nose is very off-putting Palate: Ethanol, Acetone, Grass, harsh. Not much more going on
