Review #1438; Rum #737
Well, I forgot I have tried this before but that was about 3.5 years and many rums ago. So let’s see how my tastes may have shifted.
This is a rum from Appleton Estate, that famed Jamaican distillery. This is a 100% pot still rum distilled from molasses that was aged for 21 years in Jamaica before being bottled at a high proof with no additives. It is a single marque multi cask blend.
These rums were born out of a collaboration between Joy Spence of Appleton and Luca Gargano of Velier.

Link to my previous review of this is above but I gave it a 6 then. It is so much better than that. Packed full of amazing fruity flavors, the spices and dark chocolate keep it in check and the grapefruit and black tea are a great combo. Its decadent, rich, and a joy to sit here and sip. Perhaps I am stupid for changing my views on it 4 years after, but I don’t care because these are my own ramblings. It’s an incredible rum that I wish was more affordable so I could get a bottle.
