Review #1530; Rum #829
This is yet another blend from Alambique Serrano released as part of their Vida Nativa limited edition set. This Mexican rum was made from fresh cut cane of the Java varietal grown in Santa Maria Tlalixtac, Oaxaca 2,500-3,800 feet above sea level. The fresh pressed juice is fermented in pine tanks with wild yeasts. A portion of the distillate was distilled on the Krassel still and another bit on the copper alembic pot still. Now, for the aging.

This is a great rum we have here. Chocolate, a bit of cream, Nutmeg. A nice woody spice backbone to bring it all together. This is another spice forward rum but it brings a lot of that chocolate cream notes to make it harken back to a spiced hot chocolate for me. Really easy to drink and all around great.
