Review #1312; Rum #617
This sample was provided to me by a producer, distributor, or some other industry source free-of-charge. No compensation, outside of the sample, was received and there were no strings attached.
This is a new product from Alambique Serrano that is meant to be more available than the numerous blends and single casks that have come out. This fresh pressed cane juice rum is a blend of pot and Krassel column still rum that was fermented in steel and pine tanks with wild yeast. This rum has been aged for 3 years in French oak and bottled with no additives except local water that brown the proof down to 46.1%.

This 3 anos is like a split apple pear pie and its so good. The spices pop and accent the fruits, theres a nice rounding with the oak, and even at 46% it still just pops with flavor. It’s really easy just sip on this and when the bottles come out I’m gonna grab a couple to attempt to cocktail with (Im not good at those). Just a delicious rum all around.
