Review #19; Bourbon #13: Four Roses Private Select OBSV

Background: This bourbon comes to us by way of the Four Roses distillery. This single barrel store pick is the OBSV Recipe and was aged for 10 years before being bottled at cask strength.

ABV: 54.3%

Nose: Strong sweet caramel at first, underneath a hint of rye spice, vanilla, and some sweet fruit but faint. Well balanced and could spend all day with it.

Palate: Small punch, Vanilla, Caramel, and honey. Turns into a nice leather, spice, and oak at the end.

Finish: A nice medium length finish of oak and leather with a caramel and vanilla background throughout.

Conclusion: An enjoyable drink. 4 Roses knocks it out of the park as always.
