Review #1504; Rum #803

Here we have an unaged rum that is a blend of cane and molasses based distillate from Chiapas Mexico.

Distillery: Rones de México

Bottler: Pa’Lante

Region: Mexico

Still: Pot & Column

ABV: 40%

Nose: Salt, Vanilla, Lime Pith, Lemongrass, Earthy, Bell Pepper

Palate: Light mouthfeel, Vanilla, Lemongrass, Earthy, Bell Pepper

Finish: Medium length Finish, Vanilla, Lemongrass, Earth, Brine, Bell Pepper

Rating: 5/10

Neat this is just fine, but it is well flavored for 40%. I can see this being a workhorse rum in a cocktail as it can punch through the other ingredients quite well. Crisp, a little refreshing, this is just a very solid rum all around.
