Here we have rum from independent bottlers The Colours of Rum. This rum was distilled at the Bellevue distillery in 1998 on the island of Guadeloupe. It aged for 6 years in an ex-rum cask in the tropics before ageing another 17 years in Europe. It was then bottled at a high proof.

Rating: 7/10
Overall a great rum. Certainly a very good mix of flavors here, heavy fruits, a nice black tea and spice backbone. The oak provides a nice structure for the flavor as well. A bit medicinal too, but overall an impressive rum to me.
