Here we have a rum from the Renaissance distillery located in Taiwan. This rum was distilled from local molasses, fermented for 10 days with dunder in 300 liter vats, double distillated on a Charentais pot still, and then put into a first fill ex-bourbon cask from Buffalo Trace. It aged for 3 years at origin before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.

A great rum from Renaissance and one I wasn’t too sure about going in. The flavors are very nice and kind of classic, dark chocolate, vanilla, a bit of cherry. It really brings the flavor too. I added a bit of water which really opened up that cherry note which is really enjoyable.
