Sihhenge Pineapple Rum

Review #1404; Rum #703

This sample was provided to me by a producer, distributor, or some other industry source free-of-charge. No compensation, outside of the sample, was received and there were no strings attached.

Sihhenge is a pineapple rum produced at the Mhoba distillery in South Africa. Here, the fresh pressed cane juice rum is infused with fresh harvested Natal Queen pineapples for two weeks before being bottled.

Alright we can pack it all up, this blows Planteray / Plantation Pineapple out of the water and reigns supreme over the other ones. Its well balanced, that cane juice base plays nicely with the pineapple sweetness which comes in as not overbearing. It’s delightful to sip neat but I know you cocktail folks out there will have a lot of fun playing around with this. I’m going to have to get me a bottle for some hot summer day drinks for sure.
