Cheramie Queen’s Share 4 Year

Review #1368; Rum #671

Here we have another new bottling from Cheramie. This rum was distilled from 100% fresh pressed cane juice at the Porchjam distillery in New Orleans Louisiana. This Queen’s Share distillate is a re-distillation of the high congener tails cuts from that years previous runs. The distillate was then rested in ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled with no additives.

This is a delightful aged cane juice rum. For some it may run a little heavy on the oak but it’s a great rum to drink neat. It has a touch of industrial, vanilla, some nice toasted peanuts. It’s so good neat and I bet would be fun in a cocktail. Just a great and well executed expression of aged cane juice rum from an American distillery.
