Review #1349; Rum #652
This is a bottling of rum from Worthy Park, a Jamaican rum distillery located in the saint Catherine parish. This rum was distilled from molasses on a copper pot still, aged for 5 years in ex-bourbon before ageing another 2 years in ex-Cognac. All ageing took place in Jamaica where it was bottled at cask strength with no additives for Burlington Wine and Spirits. Of note this is the WPL mark which comes in at 60-119 gr/hLAA.

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Blackberry Jam, Figs, Clove, Allspice, Dark Chocolate
Finish: Medium length finish, Black pepper, Blackberry Jam, Figs, Clove, Allspice, Dark Chocolate, touch of nuttiness
Rating: 7/10
This is a great rum. The finish comes across as a tad heavy at times, but that base rum still punches up through for sure. You can tell this is a Jamaican rum even with the second maturation of Cognac on it. The fruits and spices work well with the base banana and vanilla notes and they are all balanced pretty well.
