This Rhum Agricole comes from the island of Madeira, and was released to celebrate the 600th anniversary of the discovery of the island in 1419. This rum was made from fresh pressed cane juice with wild yeast on a column still and bottled at 59% with no additives.

Rating: 6/10
This is a very good bottling of unaged rum. IT has a nice savory backbone to it that leans a little towards beef bouillon, but not as strong as something like Le Galion. The touches of fruit and spices that pop in and out really bring it together. Overall, a very solid release.
