This sample was provided to me by a producer, distributor, or some other industry source free-of-charge. No compensation, outside of the sample, was received and there were no strings attached.
This rum was made from cane of the Java varietal and grown in Santa Maria Tlalixtac, Oaxaca at 2,500-3,800 feet above sea level. The cane was pressed for cane juice and fermented in steel and pine tanks with wild yeast. It was distilled by Rommel Krassel in copper alembic pot stills. This rum aged for 22 months in new French Oak before ageing another 2.5 months in a new Acacia cask. It was then bottled at cask strength with no additives.

A great rum release. This has some really nice mint and fruit notes in it. The touch of spices lend to the baked vibes it has going as well. A bit of grunge with the apple cider vinegar helps to keep things interesting too.
