Review #1219; Rum #533
Review #1220; Rum #534
This sample was provided to me by a producer, distributor, or some other industry source free-of-charge. No compensation, outside of the sample, was received and there were no strings attached.
This bottling of Jamaica rum comes to us from Great Shearwater, a new American Rum independent bottler from Louisville Kentucky. This rum was distilled from molasses on a pot still in 2011, aged for 4 years in Jamaica, then another 9 years in Europe, before being bottled with no additives. It aged all that time in an ex-bourbon cask.
Distillery: Worthy Park
Bottler: Great Shearwater
Region: Jamaica
Still: Pot
ABV: 54%
Cask: Ex-Bourbon, 4 Years in Jamaica, 9 Years in Europe

As expected, this is a great bottling of Jamaican rum. It’s hard to go wrong with Worthy Park and this is another delicious bottling of their rum. Classic ripe fruits, spices, and a touch of oak that brings it all together.
