The Whisky Jury Hampden C<>H 15 Year 2007

Review #1123; Rum #443

Here we have a single cask of Hampden Estate rum bottled by The Whisky Jury. Distilled from molasses on a pot still this very high ester marque aged for 15 years before being bottled at cask strength.

Distillery: Hampden

Bottler: Whisky Jury

Region: Jamaica

Still: Pot

ABV: 62.3%

Cask: Ex-Bourbon 15 Year

Nose: Buttered Popcorn, Dirty Vanilla, Pineapple Rind, Cement Glue, Black Pepper, chalky, Lemon Peel

Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel, dirty vanilla, pineapple rind, cement glue, black pepper, lemon

Finish: Long finish, pineapple, cement glue, lemon peel, black pepper, butterscotch, minerality, earthy, brine

Rating: 8/10

No real surprises here. Fruits, industrial, a bit of butterscotch, C<>H is one of the best aged marques from Hampden for me and continues to impress.
