Giboin Millesime 1997 CS

This is a vintage Cognac from Giboin. This was distilled in 1997 at the Giboin estate where it aged until it was bottled with no additives at cask strength.

ABV: 45.7%

Nose: Pear Skin, allspice, Cinnamon, Orange Zest

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Lemon Zest, Orange Zest, Allspice, Pear Skin

Finish: Medium length finish, Lemon Zest, Orange Peel, Nuttiness

Rating: 6/10

An approachable and tasty Cognac. It drinks well, has good flavors, but lacks a bit of complexity that would elevate it. Even so, it’s just enjoyable to sip on without having to think too much.
