SBS Guyana 21yr 2001 SWR
This rum comes to us from independent bottlers 1423 from their SBS line. This rum was distilled in 2001 from molasses, put into an ex-bourbon cask, and aged for 21 years before being bottled at cask strength. This was distilled on Savalle Column still.
ABV: 54.1%
Nose: Burnt Caramel, Dark Chocolate, Black Tea, Vanilla, Black pepper, espresso
Palate: Thick oily mouthfeel, lemon zest, Dark Chocolate, Black Pepper, Espresso
Finish: Medium length finish, Espresso, Black Pepper, Dark Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon Zest
Rating: 7/10
A great example of DDL rum for me. A good balance of sweet and savory with that Espresso note carrying the day for me.
