Thompson Brothers Trinidad (T.D.L) Rum 13yr

This rum comes to us from independent bottlers Thompson Brothers. This rum was distilled in 2008 from molasses at the T.D.L. distillery located in Trinidad. It was aged for 13 years before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.

ABV: 61.15%

Nose: Herbaceous, Spearmint, Star Anise, Faint Industrial, vanilla chai, raspberry

Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Star Anise, Industrial, Copper, Raspberry, Vanilla Chai, Herbaceous, Spearmint, Clove

Finish: Long finish, Star Anise, Copper, Raspberry, Vanilla Chai, Herbaceous, Spearmint, clove

Rating: 7/10

Another standout cask from TDL, this really is in that same profile of other TDL single casks I’ve had. Industrial, Cough Syrupy, Spearmint, these big bold flavors are tempered by some raspberry vanilla chai sweetness and clove.
