Version Francaise Masion Fontan 1998

This single cask of Armagnac comes to us from La Masion Du Whisky first range dedicated to French spirit. Located in Noulens on the Maubet farm Masion Fontan has been in the Fontan family since 1907. Directed by a fourth generation of family members this single cask of Bas Armagnac was aged for a period of time (24ish years) before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.
ABV: 54.6%
Nose: Lavender, Apricot, Tart Blueberries, Black Tea, Minerality.
Palate: Medium oily mouthfeel, Lavender, Tart Blueberries, Figs, Apricot, Black Pepper, touch of leather.
Finish: Medium length finish, Lavender, Leather, Black Pepper, Figs, Apricot, Minerality.
Rating: 7/10
A great Armagnac. This has that nice fruity flavor I want in an Armaganc but has a nice balance of savory notes along with the floral that are nice. A tasty offering and one I will have to try to get a full bottle of for myself.
