Through The Grapevine Merlet Lot 84

This is a cask of Borderies Cognac selected by La Masion du Whisky. This was aged for a good period of time in oak before being bottled at cask strength with no additives.

ABV: 50.2%

Nose: Baking Spices, Orange Peel, Nuttiness, Black Pepper, A good helping of oak

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Orange Peel, Black Pepper, Nutmeg, Oak

Finish: Medium length finish, Orange Peel, Black Pepper, Nutmeg, Oak.

Rating: 6/10

Very good. Nice flavors overall, but lacks some of the depth and complexity some other Cognac’s I’ve tried have had.

1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out.

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

3 | Bad | Multiple flaws.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.

5 | Good | Good, just fine.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.

7 | Great | Well above average

8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.

9 | Incredible | An all time favorite

10 | Perfect | Perfect
