This is a rum from Demerara Distillers Limited located in Guyana. This rum from their rare collection was distilled in 1998, aged for 20 years in the tropics then bottled in 2018. This is a blend of distillate from their Diamond Coffey still and the Savalle Still. This particular expression was bottled for the 20th CBH France Anniversary.

ABV: 55.1%

Nose: Toasted Brown Sugar, Caramel, Black Tea, Orange Peel, Dark Chocolate, Allspice

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Toasted Brown Sugar, Caramel, Black Tea, Orange Peel, Allspice, Nutmeg.

Finish: Shorter Finish, Spicy, Black Pepper, Black Tea, Caramel, Orange Peel, Allspice

Rating: 6/10

Very good. Good flavors, decently balanced, but this doesn’t really stand out a ton to me. It’s a very well made rum and good all around, but compared to the other tropically aged, older DDL rums I have had this is just very good.

4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but better exists.
