Review #880: Rum #257: SBS Single Origin Series Dominican Republic Aroma Grande

This rum comes to us from 1423, and independent bottler located in Europe. This is an unaged rum that was distilled on a column still and bottled with no ageing. It clocks in with an ester count of 500 gr/hl AA.

ABV: 57%

Nose: Acetone, Nail Polish Remover, Tart Blueberries, Slight Meatiness,

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Meatiness, Nail Polish Remover, Tart Blueberries, Cucumber, Lime juice

Finish: Too Long, Nail Polish Remover, Acidic, grape cough syrup.

Rating: 1/10

Yeah, this nail polish remover / acetone note. It’s just impossible to look past. It soaks everything and is just horrible. Wow, I did not expect to just straight up hate this but I couldn’t finish what I was drinking. Down the drain it went. Avoid, do not buy. Do not drink, don’t pass go, do not collect $200.
