This American Single Malt comes to us by way of Hood River Disitillers, the producers of the first American Single Malt. This whiskey is sourced two row peat-maled barley from Scotland and utilized a local brewer to make the wash. Distilled in a 60-gallon Holstein pot still using a single pass distillation with no chill filtration. This was aged in a 3rd fill, 400L oak barrel for 3 years.

Rating:7/10
A great whiskey from Hood River. The peat scratches that itch for a peated expression that I want, savory notes all over, aggressive some of them especially that dark chocolate. Black Tea and Hay tempered by some lemon zest and faint green apple. This is a real winner
