This rum comes to us by way of Nine Leaves, a rum producer located in Japan. This rum is made from Okinawan brown sugar, fermented for four days, and double distilled on a pot still before bottling.

ABV: 50%

Nose: Pear Skin, Minerality, Vanilla, Brine,

Palate: Medium mouthfeel, Pear, Brine, Bitter Grapefruit, Lemon Peel, Black Tea

Finish: Medium length finish, Black Tea, Brine, Grapefruit, Pear, Lemon Peel

Rating: 5/10

This is a good rum. It has good notes, the fruit is the star, especially that pear notes. Black tea, Brine, and some faint earthiness come together as well. It’s well made and nice to sip on, but doesn’t really rise beyond that.
